OVERVIEW

The Downtown Austin Alliance is seeking applications from food vendors for Old Bakery Park, located at the corner of 10th & Congress in Austin, Texas. The park is in the heart of downtown Austin, attracting a variety of visitors, tourists and employees from the State Capitol and the surrounding area. The new food vendor will be an essential part of a series of activations to revitalize Old Bakery Park, including the recent completion of the Old Bakery Mural and a new programming series, beginning Fall 2024. 

We are accepting applicants from local food trucks and trailers. All vendors who apply will undergo a review by a selection panel. Applicants will be rated based on site compatibility, menu affordability, and diversity of offerings. Applications are due by September 25, 2024. IMPORTANT INFORMATION

-Food Vendor Location: 1006 Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas 78701

-Monthly Rental Rate: 10% of net proceeds will be remitted as rent.

-Compliance: Vendors shall comply will all local, state, and federal orders and laws pertaining to business operation. All permits must be mounted in view of the public.

-Additional Site Considerations:

  • Selected food truck or trailer must remain on site for the lease's duration due to load-in constraints.
  • Electrical and water access are available on site. On site water cannot be used for food preparation or cooking. The Old Bakery & Emporium invoices vendor monthly for use of on-site utilities. *Note: Vendor is required to provide proper adapters/transformers required for on-site electrical hookup. Old Bakery will advise on specifications once vendor is selected.
  • Use of generators to support function of food truck/trailer is prohibited.
  • The selected vendor is responsible for providing adequate receptacles and for disposing of all waste and recycling generated by establishment at their own cost.
  • Vendor is responsible for cleaning and maintaining their truck/trailer and any public space impacted by use of operation.
  • Use of glass or Styrofoam is prohibited. Compostable and/or recyclable serveware is encouraged. 
  • Sale of alcohol is prohibited.
  • Wi-Fi access is available on site.
  • Restrooms are available to vendor employees and customers during Old Bakery’s operating hours: Wednesday – Friday: 10am – 6pm, and Saturday: 12pm – 5pm. Restrooms can be made available at request of vendor employees only outside of hours of operation when Old Bakery staff are present: Monday – Friday: 9am – 6pm, and Saturday: 12pm – 5pm.
  • Vendor must comply with all noise limitations of the site, as dictated by City of Austin.
